put in ...\scripts\Startup ?

then can be found in Create>Geometry>Scripted Objects (to create a new bolt that is, to modify the thread...there's a modifier called Thread2) (also note the bug pointed out, less than 13 radial segs will have a hole on the underside....13 or greater is perfect, great script!!!)

In max 2009, WHERE do I put the two included files??

Tried placing both files in the scripts folder, and with zero further explanations, I have no idea how to access these scripts.
