I find real scale very
I find real scale very useful, because you set the dimension of a map in the bitmap itself. so you can apply different materials with complex bitmap setups (each bitmap with other dimension) to your model with one UVW map. you don't need uvw 1 channel 1 dimension 100x100, uvw 2 channel 2 dimension 200x200, etc.

Thanks. Well,yes think I can
Thanks.
Well, yes think I can add it. But, i'm curious, I never found real-world mapping to be useful or to work correctly, but it seems its just me XD.
a "use real scale" checkbox
a "use real scale" checkbox would be great too! I use this most of the time.
thanks for your effort.

"When you apply a Map without
"When you apply a Map without setting dimensions, the gizmo its automatically fitted"
So great¡¡ for me is very useful in this way
Thanks¡
Yes, it could be easy to do
Yes, it could be easy to do, I will add it to the script, thanks for the suggestion
Hi. When you apply a Map
Hi.
When you apply a Map without setting dimensions, the gizmo its automatically fitted, but the methods for fitting, centering, etc aren't exposed to maxscript for implementing in script. However, there is already a script here (Fit the UVW Mapping Gizmo from Anubis) that reproduces the fit functionality, but seems to not properly center the gizmo. The solution explained here http://www.scriptspot.com/bobo/mxs9/uvwgizmofit/index.html has a centering function, but I was't hable to make it work in all cases, aparently max do strange things when you move/scale etc the uvw map gizmo and i can't get it to work, if someone has a solution, i will add it to the script.
Fit
An option to fit uvwmaps in each object would be great
What drives me nuts in 3ds
What drives me nuts in 3ds Max is absence of 'lock to the bitmap proportions' feature. Could it be made at least via script (of yours, for example ;))?
