CollapseSubObjectMaterial

3 votes

"Takes an object that has a multi/subobject material - and collapses the material to use only the subobject materials that are assigned to face IDs on the object. Modifies the object as well - consolidation material IDs and collapsing it to an editable mesh. Great for cleaning up nasty subobject materials on characters or buildings that have been attached several billion times.

setup xrayOthers

4 votes

"Sets selected objects as solid - and unselected objects in xray mode. Pretty simple to use - when it's enabled - everytime you change selections it updates - when it's disabled - it doesn't."

NRB Material ID Paint

This script was made to turn the task of adding material ID to a mesh faster (and not so boring - I hope)

Muvw

Enables you to either copy mapping to mirrored objects of identical geometry(well before it was mirrored anyways) or replace the geometry over but retain the same pivot information - animation etc.

CastleWolfenstein MDC Importer

4 votes

"Wolfenstein MDC models are used for mapobjects - weapons - cutscene objects - player heads - powerups and more. The importer supports full mesh animations - textures and also has some basic tag import capabilities.

MatIDCopyPaste

7 votes

Copies and pastes MatIDs from one object to another. Both objects must have the same face count. Suggested by Campbell McGrouther.

IK Control Helper

3 votes

"Adds custom attributes to any dummy that parents an IK chain. Custom Attributes include Swivel Angle. Show Trajectory. Dummy Size and a quick jump to the IK chain’s motion panel.

Set Coordinate System

4 votes

"It allows you to associate a coordinate system type (screen. local. world. view. grid. parent) with a given object. Whenever the object is selected. the active coordinate system is switched to the associated coordinate system. This information is saved with the MAX file. So it will be there the next time the MAX file is opened."

Paramfind

5 votes

"Unhides and selects every parametric (non-collapsed) geometric object in the scene. Useful if you want to collapse everything before a big render or releasing your 3D file."
