Here's a script that avoids many of the shortcomings of the standard - shipping Collapse Utility. Hope you find it useful.

how to install

I have clicked run script, but I have spent long time looking for the name of the scrpit in the customize user interface>toolbars, not able to find the associated one, cause I want to create a button as to not having to look for the script file everytime. thank you for your time.
