QuickToolsA collection of useful maxscripts and max features combined into one tool window. Most of the scripts I wrote myself. Some I did not write - but included as I use them regularly and find them to be extremely efficient work flow enhancers - furthermore I found no need to reinvent already solid wheels. Full credit is given to all script's authors both in the code comments and on the about page - however if for some reason I have neglected to give proper credit please let me know and I will rectify any and all such oversights. Furthermore - should anyone be unhappy that these are included I can remove them from the public release version. Finally any tools not categorized by those first descriptions are just standard max affairs to which I have given more convenient access - or are standard max affairs that have been slightly altered to suit certain production needs.

QuickUVW

This script will apply one 1x1x1 meters UVW-Map modifier in box mode to each selected object with a normal click.
Regardless of system unit type the size will always remain 1x1x1 meters.
If shift-clicked, it will apply a real world map size UVW Map modifier instead.

I use this frequently in architectural visualizations for applying a standard uvw map to most of the objects.

Only tested with 3ds max 2013!

Racer DOF Importer

This scripted Utility will import geometry and materials from the DOF files, used in Racer game. It also reads accompanying SHD files for detailed shader information. Allows cars and tracks models import for further examination or editing.

Radial Function Grapher

Generates shapes based on radial functions

Radial Skew

Skews points radially or biaxially about the center sub-object. The skew is specified in degrees - and unlike taper - resulting slants are constant regardless of the points distance from the center.

RadioMapper Package

Radiosity Mapper. Takes RadioRay meshes imported using the MAX 2.5 VRML Importer or WorldGrabber and creates bitmaps representing the radiosity solution.

Radiosity Quickbar

A macroscript which produces a space-saving floater that allows you to start/stop/reset the radiosity solution - and change the meshing size. Has a progress bar to show you how far the solution has got - but it doesn't always seem to update on heavy scenes.
