Custom Align

This script is intended to align objects with a given spacing. You can randomnize position and scale and choose between object center or object base, you can also align to min and max, this is especially useful for randomizing books on shelves or any similar task like populating supermarket shelves or if you have to space different size objects evenly.

this script cuts object by user defined grid

version beneath v0.3 wasnt released

v0.3:
- work at any combination of axes
- cut by segment lenght or edges count
- always recalculate segment lenght to keep it same in hole object

With the script below you can quickly set the spacing of the grid in 3ds max.

Just download the script, edit the predefined values(change, add new, delete what is not needed) and installs it.

This scripted utility allows you:

  • dispose selected object along a path,
  • create simple lofts (with constant cross-section, without any deformation),
  • distribute selected object to a group of other objects.

+ Smoothing groups of the faces of the Loft object is assigned automatically, so faces at the Bezier or Smooth knots will be smoothed and faces at the corners knots will form sharp edges.

+ Compensation of a twisting for closed spatial Paths

- Neither of the Arrangement parameters has no an animation controller.
