ScriptSpot is a diverse online community of artists and developers who come together to find and share scripts that empower their creativity with 3ds Max. Our users come from all parts of the world and work in everything from visual effects to gaming, architecture, students or hobbyists.
Right now you can use the Page UP and Page Down keys to go up and down a heirarchy in Max. You can also set up hotkeys to navigate up and down the envelopes within Skin. You CAN'T use the same hotkeys for both - until now.
In this short video, we will learn how to keep the mouse centered in the viewport, this is useful in many scenarios, like, for example, tracing a spline over a picture while staying zoomed in.
"Layer Bar extends 3dsmax 5's layer system and simplifying its ui at the same time. Give this tool a try if you dont like the dropwdown interface. Features:
Dockable screen width bar to effectively manage scene object without consuming screen space.
One click operation to hide/unhide - lock/unlock - as well as multiple layer hiding/locking.
"This script will expand one mesh to the surface of another mesh or meshes. This can help making a lowpoly collision object for a character. First a snapshot of the selected object is created. The original object is put into box mode (so it is easier to see the result). Snapshots are created of the selected target object(s).
