Copitor allow you to quick copy/paste selected objects to another Max scene or in another Max if you have 2 3dsMax open. I also like to use it like as a "quick backup" for try something, and to be sure to loose nothing :)

Installation: Drop The file in max viewport and go to Customize ==> Customize User Interface ==> Category: zOffTy Tools ==> Copitor

SketchUp Linker (free)

This tool will help you link SketchUp files into 3ds Max via an temporary FBX file. That helps you update your design in 3ds Max without wasting much effort re-assigning materials and modifiers to each object.

When there are changes in SketchUp files, click reload in SketchUp Linker and everything will be automatically updated for you.

Populate Material Editor

This script will, load selected objects materials in the chosen material editor ( slate or compact ),

there is also a "Reset Material Editor Slots" button, that clears the material editor and replace each slot by a new material of the current renderer, it works for Vray, Corona, Arnold, F-storm and Octane, else it will create some 3dsmax physical material instead.

This script makes it very easy to apply Object ID's and store the MultiMatte Render Elements.

Objects are selected within the grid table. If objects and layers in your scene are not recognized by its name this script will not be much use.

  • Add Button will add another additional numbered ID button.

A very simple but EXTREMLY USEFUL script you will use all the time!

With just one click it opens the Slate Material Editor and displays all the materials for the selected objects well organized in a clean view.

Forget about the annoying material picker tool. Add this simple button to your toolbar and every time you want to see the material/s for your current selected object/s just click the button and... Voila!

It will save you a lot of time!

ECopy

ECopy is a 3DsMax script by EKDtools.
It registers in to the main menu of 3DsMax and comes with a user interface that you can go through the slots using mouse scroll.
That allows you to copy and paste in 20 different slots.
You can use this script to copy and paste objects between different files and computers on your network. This can be useful when you are working on a project that requires collaboration with other people.
ECopy also registers the timestamp of your copy with a large object centered preview and the username of the user who took the copy.

 The Outliner 2.0 is a fast and easy to use scene management tool. It has a wide range of features, including selecting, hiding, freezing, linking and grouping objects in the "Hierarchy Mode".
