"part of my job at acclaim involved checking other peoples files - sometimes lots of them. this involved going to a max directory - open a file - make a few tweaks - save it and then open the next one - and so on. the pain in the butt was that you had to keep up with what file you just opened and edited to know where in the list of files was the next one to open. erg!

Cache files are named the same as each object

Will load caches back on to each object by name

Saves World Space Point Cache

Loads Local Point Cache

The option box to "Reset Matrix before load" is recomended and probably necessary in most cases. When this is done the objects will only display correctly with the pointcache applied and on.

3DS Max - Link Sub Object Elements To An Object

In this tutorial, we will see how we can bind sub-object elements to an external object using a modifier called Linked XForm, so that when modifying the transforms of this object the sub-object elements will be affected. We will three different scenarios where this modifier can be useful. Of course, you can think of different scenarios of your own. Also, we will see how we can animate the external objects and have the sub-object elements animated without really creating any keyframes for them.
