XRef Scenes update

I experienced problem with updating XRefs scenes during main scene load. I can hit "Update Now" button on workstation but I can't do this during renderfarm rendering. This script forces XRefs update during main scene load. It should be installed on every single render node. I expreienced this problem at 3ds Max ver 9, script was tested on ver. 2009 also (will propably work at v. 2008). Problem disappeared at 3dsMax 2010.

This is a quick calculator for those of you with backburner render farms. It'll estimate how many frames your computer will render versus how many your idle backburner nodes will in a given amount of time.

For example - say you work at a small studio and have a dozen backburner nodes available. It's Friday afternoon, you want to go home but you're concerned that the new glossy objects increased your frame time to 20 minutes / frame on your workstation. But how many can you render on the farm? This tool will help you. For the type of work I do this tool works well - your mileage may vary.

Open Float Help (O.F.H)

This script allows the open Help and Tutorials file in floating windows.

Normally, the help max file is hancored to the working windows. If we closed Max, it's also closes the help. With script Float Open Help, the file help remains open no longer hancored to the Max. Is can also open file .chm, .pdf, .txt, htlm and Web page.

Visibility Manager

Visibility Manager is a very useful tool if you work with
visibility tracks. It's default controller is On_Off -
it is hardly configurable. VisiMan script lets you automatically
convert On_Off controller to Bezier_Float controller. Second part
of this script lets you quickly and easily add some fading effect
to object's appearing and disappearing.

FumeFX Presets Tool

A Simple Tool for speeding intial creation of fumefx. Also has some handing presets for the beginner and the casual effects artist.

BUG: Creating Fumefx Containers via maxscript breaks the preview window, unfotuantly i cannot fix this bug :(. The work around however (and im sorry is a little irratating), is the restart max after you have saved the max file.

Fixes UVW mapping imported in 3ds max from maya

hi all

this was done for a very certain task...
i'm working with team mates who work in maya platform while most of the work is done by 3ds max and it plugins..and i work on both but better at 3ds max..

If you ever tried to export an FBX file from maya to max you will suffer from two or three basic things,
1: all materials are phong with high specular
2: some maps were defined in maya in som way that max understands them as maps with map channel != 1,then the need a uvw mapping
3: some faces problems

fixing these in a very big scene could be very painful

A replacement cut tool for Editable Poly. Allows you to orbit the view without interrupting the tool - and allows complex cuts with edge/vert snapping. Also gives the ability to do multiple - unconnected cuts without exiting and restarting the tool.
