Please note - this tutorial was written pre max 2010 which includes the method dotnet.setlifetimecontrol. This resolves the global dotnet handler issues mentioned at the start.

this script adds suffix to diffuse and ambient filename textures.

(at this moment it add diffuse and ambient suffix at same time. early i update it)

usually i use it to add "_low" or "high" suffix...

to assign a shortcut: "customize user interface" -> "mainUI" -> "compariello"

* this script works with filename textures with just one dot. either it give you rollout error!

** it do not function with NOTUNIQUE material / textures !!!!

this script is used before to export scenes in any other format.

it unparents and reparents objects if necessary, collapse into mesh, center pivot, reset xform and, if you choice, reassign smoothing group (default with 45° threshold).

this script assign lightmaps to every selected objects.

you must insert lightmap path, and you can choose uv channel e texture formats.

* in this case, the script works with vray lightmap suffix (max 2008 & 2009). if you want to use with other ambient texture suffix, write a comment!!

** just you must have materialID equal to number of multimaterial list.

Stretchy Bone Chain

This script makes a bone chain stretchable, in either squash or scale mode. Just double click the first bone of the chain and run the script.

The macroscript will be under the "Toke Scripts" category. This is my first official script, so if there are any problems please let me know.

VRay material to Standard material

Hi..
this script converts all scene VRay materials to max's standard material.
it keeps diffuse color and diffuse map. right now it works with multi sub-object materials if you guys found it useful ,I can add support for other maps like transparency and reflection, refraction and etc.

PSD to JPG

hi, this simple script converts PSD maps to JPG and saves them in the same path of original one and replaces old path with jpg one..
I hope it be useful
