Import CSV and import Geo (kml, GPX) to 3ds MAX

Importing data to 3ds max is fundamental to try to reproduce the real world in3d environment.
I made two scripts spline CSV IO (Import/Export) and Import Geo.

Install: Copy files to /scripts/startup
Use: go to “utilities” tab (hammer) –> MAXscripts->Utilities

The script import Geographic coordinates (longitude,latitude and Altitude).
The coordinates are decimal format (40.446195, -79.948862) Altitude is in meters.

Object Triangulator

Triangulator is a scripted-plugin which chamfers, and then welds all the vertices of the choosen object(if no object is choosen, a box 25x25x25 is used). The chamfering and welding is executed as many times as the user defines.

You can choose how much each vertices is chamfered, and the weld threshold, which allows you to create many different objects.

Hello everyone!
Sometimes in my work I need find some material. When I shade scene to Vray, I need delete or change standard materials or mental materials. But it very difficult to find it. Especially if some materials in sub-materials.
For this situation I wrote this script

You can:

  • find base materials or sub-material
  • view list of objects by selected class of material, select objects in list

HoHa Material ID

Just another small script to add "Material" modifiers on top of the sellections to assign random or in order material ID. Apply multi subobject material to the selection first.

This is a small script I wrote to add spring motion to selections, as Max allow to change to spring motion controller only one at a time.

With this you can add spring motion to your selection, change the mass as well as the drag for better spring, or even set it to random within range so that you will have more random motion.

It is easy to use, and the script is simple. It supprises me that nobody have writen this yet.

Mirror Shatter

Shatters objects into specified amount of segments, aswell as radial segments.

The amount of segments, the center of the shattering, the amount of radial segments, bias towards/away from center, angle, and secondary angle (for radial segments and segments) can all be changed, and almost all of them also can be randomized (all randomization(apart from center) is a percentage, and constrained, however it is still possible to create overlapping pieces and/or incorrectly shatter).
