Camera Z_Depth

This script creates a new render element using a falloff shader to emulate a zdepth render element. The min and max values are added to the cameras attributes. This gives you the ability to animate the min and max values of the zdepth and to be able visualize those values in the viewport.

It installs as a macro script in the mikes scripts category.

Update 05/26/2011:
I changed the default values from 100 min and 200 max to 0 min and 0 max.

Update 02/10/2012:
I turned off filtering.

Viewport LoD Checker

Viewport LoD Checker is a MAXScript for check the Level Of Details of your objects/character directly in Max Viewport. It hide/unhide objects depending on the distance.

This was my final assigment from a maxscripting course on cgsociety. It allows you to generate a red blood cell, virus or bacteria. It will also generate a group of them in random positions.

 It installs as a macroscript under the mikes scripts category.

Mouse Wheel Grow/Shrink Selection

This script will allows you to use the mouse wheel to grow and shrink verts/edges/faces selection on Editable Poly and Edit_Poly objects.

Usage:
Assign it to a keyboard shortcut or button. After pressing the keyboard key/button, use the mouse wheel to grow or shrink the selection. While the tool is active you can pan, rotate and zoom(Ctrl+Alt+MMB) object in viewport and continue to add new verts/edges/faces to selection. Click on viewport with LMB or RMB to stop the tool.

Viewport Maxscript Editor

I'm happy to release a new script that allows you to create scripts using objects in max's viewport. It was written with the idea that it could replace the long outdated and basically useless "Visual Maxscript Editor" - it's even named the same acronym.

VME also 'imports' a PSD and converts it to a .MS file, if the PSDs layers are named correctly.

Stretchy Bones Creator

Stretchy Bones Creator allows a user to quickly create chains of stretchy bones, mirror them, project them onto an arbitrary mesh, and add them into a skin modifier. This allows a user to get right into weighting the vertices and fixing the skinning envelopes.
