This script takes your current object selection and automatically opens Adobe Photoshop and edits all of the Bitmap Textures assigned to that object.

I suggest assigning this to a keybinding CTRL-SHIFT-P to speed up your workflow.

Additional Info:

1. Run script

2. In Max goto "Customize->Customize User Interface...->Keyboard tab->Category: ColinScripts->Photoshop Selected Material", click the "Hotkey" field and press CTRL-SHIFT-P. Press Save at the bottom.

Good idea Britt, I'll add it if it's possible soon, or at least keep you updated here.

Hey Colin, Do you think it

Hey Colin,

Do you think it would be possible to have a "pop up" with a material ID selector for multimaterials, so it would know which to pass along to PS?

I know I wouldn't have issue with simply inputing the number each time (it'd still be a LOT easier/faster than any other method).

It might be cool if it were a "drop-down" selection with ID number and any associated material name (if the user has assigned one).  For example: "Material ID: 1 | 'Spaceship Hull'"

Thanks again,

Britt

Budy, My apologies for not

Budy,
My apologies for not getting to this sooner. I have been on vacation in colorado and am just now getting back. Ill look at it first this tomorrow morning. I don't have a copy of max9 though, but I have users saying it works fine for max 9. Just to make sure. After running the script (which is basically just an installer for the script) are you dragging it to a toolbar or keybinding it? Make sure to follow the installation instructions perfectly. Ill check though tomorrow. Thanks

Colin
