I have always been not happy with the endless movement through Windows folders to save and load scenes and models. It really takes 20-30% of the working time. Neither Windows nor 3dsmax can provide recent paths and easy folder navigation. I'm tired of this nonsense.
And then I wrote the OutFiler.

Script that has the ability to quickly find the necessary folders, save the history of movements along them with back/next buttons and recent list and the favorite paths for quick access to working scenes.

Advanced UV Normalizer (AUVN) is a tool for normalizing the Texel Density across different objects.

It has a comprehensive set of features to calculate, get, set and modify the Texel Density of your models based on different parameters such as Geometry Area, Texture Area, UV Area as well as the Geometry/Pixels and Geometry/UVs Ratios.

The Texel Density can be set using a fixed texture size, or you can assign different AUVN textures and normalize them all at once using their texture size.

Just a simple modifier to connect edges selected with the previous "edit poly" "editable poly" or "poly select" modifier. Currently I tested my script on 3dsmax 2020, I will try to test it on older version of 3ds max and update this page if I can. XFormer is a tool that will allow you recover the transformation of an object.

Some scenarios where you might want to restore an object transformation could be:

  • After a model transformation matrix was reset (Reset XForm)
  • If you have detached part of an object as another object
  • If you import a model and it is not aligned as you would expect

If you work in vfx field then you will appreciate this tool, VTrack is a vertices tracking scripted tool that allows you to track a selected vertex or an averaged vertices position of a deformed mesh (Alembic or point cached) and create a point helper with a backed animation of the tracked position.

You can use it later as a source for your effect ( blood burst, explosion... you name it) or you can turn on that point animation trajectory so you can visualize the animation path of that area in the mesh.

New MaxScript. Simple and handy as aways. Free.
It's very useful for my use. You can quickly save and recall up to 5 groups of selections. You can increment memories adding objects to them (Which is SO useful in some situations (to help in the process of organizing big and messy scenes)...
Hide and Un-Hide from Memory buttons. Isolate groups, etc.

BTW, the video says QuickSelect, but i changed the script name to Memento.;)
