Mouse Wheel Grow/Shrink Selection
This script will allows you to use the mouse wheel to grow and shrink verts/edges/faces selection on Editable Poly and Edit_Poly objects.
Usage:
Assign it to a keyboard shortcut or button. After pressing the keyboard key/button, use the mouse wheel to grow or shrink the selection. While the tool is active you can pan, rotate and zoom(Ctrl+Alt+MMB) object in viewport and continue to add new verts/edges/faces to selection. Click on viewport with LMB or RMB to stop the tool.
How the script works:
Run it.
Scroll mouse wheel out to grow vert/edge/face Loop selection.
Scroll mouse wheel in to shrink vert/edge/face Loop selection.
Ctrl + scroll out to grow edge Loop in one direction.
Ctrl + scroll in to shrink edge Loop in same direction.
Alt + scroll out to grow edge Loop in oposite direction.
Alt + scroll in to shrink edge Loop in same direction

Shift + scroll out to grow edge RIng.
Shift + scroll in to shrink edge Ring.
Shift + Ctrl + scroll out to grow edge ring in one direction.
Shift + Ctrl + scroll in to shrink edge ring in same direction.
Shift + Alt + scroll out to grow edge ring in oposite direction.
Shift + Alt + scroll in to shrink edge ring in same direction.

Installation:
Drag and drop mzp file in 3ds max. Go to Customize->Customize user interface. The script will appear in the "miauu" category.
The script was tested on max 2009 but should work on older version too.

Damn, too bad it doesn't work in max 2020.3.
When i press shortcut to invoke the tool, my gizmo turns off, which means that the tool is active, but scrolling just zooms the viewport. I tried all key combinations.

The installer is fixed and now the script works in 3ds Max 2020.

Is this not work for you - click with LMB or RMB in the viewport?
