"AEC object - parametric window blinds. The idea is to use them for distance shots of curtain wall office building facades - and use a script to randomize blind type - open % - etc. to make the offices look more inhabited."

NOTE FOR GI/RAYTRACER

NOTE FOR GI/RAYTRACER USERS:

 

This script creates double-sided faces, which Brazil, finalrender, vray, and most likely mental ray hate.  Be prepared to remove the backfaces and add a Shell modifier to use with non-scanline renderers.
