Block Model Builder Toolbox v5.0.ms

UPDATED TO UNIVERSAL GENERIC UNITS USE !

No more unit issues (hopefully). Build to whatever units you are using.

The idea behind Block Model Toolbox was to write a script that provides the user with an single interface from which they can quickly and efficiently build Massing Type Models for Architectural Schemes, an often arduous task.

Installation

Each Maxscript comes zipped, along with
.txt manual file, and any .jpgs required.

To install the script;-
1) Download the file (follow the link).
2) Unzip the file and copy the content to
your Scripts folder for 3dsMax (version 8
or higher).

That's it, you're good to go!

I've updated the script slightly so that it should work for you whatever units you are using: - Meters, Feet Inches, mm, Generic. Should all work (fingers crossed).

Make sure you enter a size and floor heights etc. though as now they default start at ZERO !!!

Sorry it took a while.

Thanks to all those who use the script and gave constructive feedback.

Hope you find this update solves any issues.
(Though looking through it today, the whole thing could do with a re-write and cleanup, but isn't that often the way when you look back on things).

Sorry, I wrote the script to use in-house where we worked in mm.

If i have some downtime then i'll alter it slightly to make it more universal.

Unfortunately it changes system units to mm as soon as it is loaded so i can not really use it.

you can change it back to meters after but then it defaults to create giant houses or trees.
