This script can clean junk vertex after boolean or proboolean.
Although it can't do better boolean,but not worse.

Yes,It's just a little

Yes,It's just a little trick,but in fact,boolean was already screw the mesh right ?Tongue out 

And it's just a editpoly modifier, so don't worry about that.

This looks very nice in theory, but after looking at the code it seems that all it does is remove the vertices that are only connected to two splines. While this might be helpful on most cases, I can imagine some situations in which this would screw up the mesh...
