A tool to help setting vertex weights when skinning.

Changes in version 0.90:

  • Added: option to sort list by bone name (turned on by default).
  • Added: Restoring the bones list position after list update (if possible).
  • Fixed: updating values didn\'t work sometimes due to precision issues.

Changes in version 0.85:

  • Fixed: Selecting a bone in the scene now updates the selected bone in the list.

 

Changes in version 0.84 :

  • Fixed a crash when using the Hide/Unhide unused bones feature.
  • Fixed: updating the weight list when a value is changed in the skin modifier\'s weight table.
  • Added option to hide common bone names (in right click menu).
  • Added vertex selection buttons: shrink, grow, loop and ring.

Another thing :)

I feel that the changes in value are selected through the bone in the listview and not in the viewport
So when we hide un-used bones (for readability) and that you select a bone, hidden in the listview, in the viewport
you can't add weight
While Max "Weight tool" does this by default

If you're interested, I can upload my custom version that I have from your script (version 0.80) with mixing with other parameters to go faster during prod
But the problem above makes it wobbly.. :/

Nice BUT...!

If you select a bone directly in the Viewport, your Skin Helper don't update the selected bone in the listview....kinda boring! :/

This seem to work very well. May be the design of the interface could use some improuvement but overall, great job and thank you.
