A script that uses curves, constraints and morpher modifiers to automate the generation of spine like objects. Just select a curve and vertebrae geometry objects ( note: the vertebrae objects must have the same underlying geometry).

Number of spine objects

Hi again,

i have just noticed that the script does not distribute the spine object evenly, but actually it often leaves a gap. Also the distribution of the sine objects is always different. For instance it behave differently when you set 50 spine objects or you set 51. Is there a way to fix all that? Also, the script goes crazy after 100 spine objects. Do you have any explanation about that?

My bad!

Hi there,

first of all thanks for the quick reply! Sorry but probably my question was not well placed and so pretty misleading :P...What i meant was whether it was possible to randomize the sequence of and the frequency of distribution when your have multiple spine object. For example, let's imagine i use as spine objects a sphere, a cone and a cube, is there a way to randomize the distribution of those object along the target spline?
Thanks in advance.

Best,

Valerio

Use Zorb

Thank you, the script is not randomizing, however you could use a script likes this: http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/modifier-modifier-zorb that would allow you to apply and randomize modifiers on the spine objects, i.e. noise, wave, bend, twist, xform etc. any modifiers that retain the underlying vertex count.

Randomize

Hi, your script is really cool, I was wondering whether there is a way to randomize the vertebrae geometry objects along the spine. Thanks in advance!

Peace out!
