Features
- Creates welds between intersecting geometry
- Creates welds on selected edges
- Multiple weld type options
- Realtime settings/property adjustments
- Works with splines and meshes
Now that's bad ass. I love that. I'm going to build different loft types into this script for the next version. Nice work. We could make concave, and convex welds.

All we would need to do is make a tileable displacement map with the different bead weld types. if you want to make a tileable texture I could then implement it into the script.
Keep in mind it is a spline object so it is automatically unwrapped which means you can put a tileable texture on it without any unwrapping needed.
It'd be cool if you could apply different weld type shaders with in your script. (See my attached ruff test) My quick shader test is a standard/diffused/bump/displaced/ rendered in MR.
Also what really would sell the effect is the blackened burn effect around the metal. Could "Vertex Paint modifier" be used?
Very interesting :). I'm guessing you did something like pro-boolean and got the open edge, and made it a spline, then applied a noise type modifier to it?

Loft
The real cool thing about this script is you can apply a loft to the spline.
very cool
You text render in viewport there looks really cool. So is this texturemap tileable as well then?
Great work. I think this will work out great.

Bead update
This should work better. You would need to color correct the bead map to match your metal.
Tile test
Joker,
Great, Not sure on the top and bottom margins. Attached are three 1024 tileable jpg at different contrast. Tell me if you want something else?
Awesome idea.

Bead Types
Joker,
I've wanted this for so long, Tanks

i tryed but couldnt make any weld.. =/
wondering if its me or max..
