the 45 is appreciated, but

the 45 is appreciated, but seems a little buggy with modifiers. Applied a slice modifier and used script, only does it once, then have to deselect and reselect to do it again, also did not rotate on the axis i selected.
Still a little awkward to use, if it rotated based on which view plane you were facing a think it would be much better.

looks nice..will give it a try. Would probably modify it to be 45 instead of 90, find its more useable that way for most objects etc...

...can you make it work so it just rotates based on what plane you are facing xy, yx, xz. Will speed things up a bit instead of having to select an axis to rotate around...

would love the reverse of this...if the model is rotated, align the mesh x y or z

Doesn't work as expected. See attachment where view is afterwards. Don't mind the topo. I'm working on that. ;)
