tuboTools V2

Additional Info:

What is turboTools?

turboTools has been an expanding project I've been working on for the past couple months off and on, mainly to reduce stress with the current max toolset, and increase my productivity speed and accuracy.

What does it do?

turboTools is meant mainly for two things. To speed up the users workflow, and to make working with Max easier for beginners and advanced users alike.

turboTools spots many differen't types of tools/scripts to make UV selections faster/easier, aligning/welding many verts faster,  view multiple bitmaps of a texture at once with properies, and so on.

****** Version 2.8  Updates********

 - Fixed issues with Installer not copying over icons properly, causing the Toolbar to not load.

- Fixed issues with the Toolbox tool, so now it works with Max 2013, as well as having other imrpovements and backwards capability.

- Fixed up some issues with the ShrinkWrap tool, and added a Border Constraint option.

ToolBox (Updated!!)

Yeah, that is a possibility.

Yeah, that is a possibility. Not sure if I will do it or not. I would probably rewrite my UI again maybe in C#, so it would be easier to add/remove items without issue.

not a problem

it's a lovely collection of scripts, glad to help!

being able to customise it with one's own additional buttons (scripts) would be mad cool.

Ok, awesome. So.... I should

Ok, awesome. So.... I should probably try and delete those first somehow in my installer. I think I know how I can though :)

Thanks!

Hmm.... damn. Do you mean

Hmm.... damn. Do you mean after un-installing then re-installing or a fresh install?

I also noticed some issues recently, but then after testing more it seemed fine. But this was in Max 2010/2011 and not 2012.

I will have to try and test on another machine with max 2012.

As a possible fix for the time being, go to your

C:\Users\COMPUTER NAME\AppData\Local\Temp

Look for any folders called mzptmp and delete them. Then try to install again.

2012 version

..doesn't seem to install correctly. i could only go through with installation after having manually copied turboTools_ScriptLoader.ms to the startup folder, and even then there is no UI entry in the turbo_tools category (all other scripts are there, though).. any ideas? might it be maxscriptmanager?

UPDATE!

If you are using Max 2012, I have seperate downloads on my site now, sorry!

My C# scripts were crashing in Max 2012 for some reason, I think because of Dotnet 2.0, so now they are compiled for Dotnet 4.0, and all seems fine.

Hello, How did you go about

Hello,

How did you go about docking? Did you just click on the dock button and click left/right and it gave that error?

Someone else had a docking error, but not this one, which is odd....

If you go to the turboTools folder, does the Rollout_Buttons folder exist?
In there, there should be a dock_left and right .bmp.

Update

Hey,

I just updated the downloads on my site, but I won't make this an official update again.

**Added/New**

-Xref_Material is now supported/working with the Object Bitmap Collector tool. This means you can view bitmaps on xref objects without an issue (hopefully).

-Added .Tif Image recognition to the bitmap collector tool, so it shows a .tga thumb instead of a jpg thumb, to make it easier/more apparent.

**Fixes**

-Fixed an issue with the Secondary Isolation tool, where it would zoom the whole scene, instead of the selected objects, when going into the mode.

-Fixed an error that would happen sometimes when trying to view an objects material via the treeview node, in the Object Bitmap Collector tool.
