Orionflame 4

Hi Light!

the plug in looks great, and wanted to do some trial before the purchase.

 however, been having some trouble isntalling on

 XP, max 9 service pack 2 32 bit.

when i run MZP using the run script it will prompt me an error

-- syntax error: at bad, expected )
-- in line:
-- in file: mzp.run in package c:\document.......

------------------------------------

and when i restart max, it would just pop up lots of error msg saying the .ms files can't be found etc. not sure why this is happening, as i installed the same thing at work on viz2008 without any problem

 will be great if you can give me a way i can trial run orionflame on max 9

i am running dual operating vista and xp..
oddly when i try vista / max9 service pack 2 32 bit orionflame seems to work fine..

I am not exactly sure about the problem. But have you tried the latest update (I updated it a few days ago).

Did you first unzip and then run it? If so, can you please make sure Orionflame Icons folder is created in \UI ?

Also please make sure Orionflame 4 folder is created in \stdplugs\stdscripts ?

I have unzipped and installed it properly, and also did double check all the folders and files were in the right place. 

from what i have found, from lots of trial and error,

it seems that done.ms is causing the problem while installing
I had unzipped the MZP and tried step by step,

Well, not sure what it is that is causing it honestly, works fine on VIsta max 9, viz 2008, only not working on XP max 9, wondering if mine being korean windows causing issues.

 Anyways, i will keep trying, and double check the things you recommanded, if i know any more info, will let you know! Thanks for great update!

Thanks for mentioning you were using a foreign version of Windows. I have been reported the same problem from several people.

To correct it is very easy: simply go to Regional and Language Settings and change it to English. It only changes the way numbers, currency, etc are handled. Not the language of the OS.

I just installed trial version of Orionflame 4. Very good set of tools. But I can't use .dds images. Is there some "conflict" between Orionflame scripts and dxDDS.bmi? When I remove them everything is back to normal.

Maybe I did something wrong during installation process?

I have the same problem , i have some conflict with orionflame and DDS file format, when i install orionflame i cant use DDS images and after uninstall it works.

Orionflame4 help file found on official website does not work. Any idea why?

Are you running the help file on a network. If so, that's a limitation of MS chm files.

No I am not.  The help file can be opened but the larger window remains empty. I tried on a different machine but it's still the same problem.

 I wish to know if your plugin could be of some help on a project I have. Maybe I can tell you more some other way(email, MSN, Messenger..)

So has anyone else problem opening the help file from Orionflame website?

Confirmed: I get the same thing here. I just downloaded the help file to my local desktop and double clicked the file but no matter what I click on either from the index or contents section the right side keeps giving the navigation error shown below...

I have tried the file on 3 different machines... same results...

Have you guys tried running it from C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 9\help?

I just tried and it works fine.

Interesting link Light, I wasn't aware of those possible causes for a CHM file to not display properly...

This morning I tried opening the file at work and it works just fine. It must be a configuration / security issue with my laptop at home...

Hi!!

I just installed Orionflame 4 on Max9 with WinXP. I really love the set of tools but I have the same problem than noname and Titus.scriptspot.

When I install Orionflame DDS stop working. What can i do to resolve that ?

At the risk of repeating on what was said, I'll say the same thing.

The .DDS file support gets lost once I install your plugin (OrionaFlame V4.02).

I don't know why, or how, but it stops working.

Your tool is great and useful, everything one needs, however, not at the cost of one of the most useful formats that 3DS packages use.

So please, fix the issue, and maybe input us on what is going wrong.
