You can quickly batch load these files into the current scene by simply drag and drop, and then selecting the max files to merge from the list. This convenient script will save you a lot of time, especially when you have to merge many files into your project.

The payment problem also gives me a lot of headache

i see that the script has been updated ,however
it is impossible to buy where paypal is banned

Without trying let me add some suggestions.
The script can also:
auto clean notetracks/animation layers on merge by an option
Get each object mesh onto its own layer and group pivoted at BotCenter by an option
Script can many more things but
but here is the best of ideas.
Instead of dragging zip/rar on to the script's menu, you drag multiple images onto it(either from picasa, brdige or lightroom etc) and script finds the zip/rar file (which ever it finds first) with the same name of the dragged image by searching "filename" on same directory.
ps: Change log is nice but my eyes desparately looked for a "feature list" somewhere

Textures will not be overwritten if they have the same name
Yes, actually each compressed file will be extracted into a folder with its own name. And link map scripts, such as the free Collect Assets script, can solve the problem of duplicate names very easily, so don't worry. :-D

...BUT I D ADD POSBILITY CHOSE TO MAKE SMART MERGE FOLDER IN DIRRECTORY WHERE EACH MERGED FILE EXIST (IN ORDER TO PREVENT MAP OR RESOURCES DUPLICATES )
