"Symmetry is a set of max 4 functions and macroscripts (ActionItems) meant for usage in the QuadMenus - Toolbars or as Shortcuts. It was rewritten from scratch and is many hundred times faster - but is very similar in its functionality to the old Symmetry script for MAX R3.

Matrix demon

Directly input an objects matrix to warp and scale it. Now works in local space as well. Good fun on cameras!

Polyediting Macros

Consists of several standard Editable Poly operation macros to be used in the quadmenu because discreet didnt made one. Put them into your quadmenu so if you often work in 'Expert Mode'.

  • Clear All Smoothing Groups
  • Collapse: collapses the selected verts - edges - or polys. Works just like the one in the command panel.

    "Find and Delete redundant faces in meshes. Has option to extract Double Faces to a separate mesh object. This version includes explicit check for MAX version. Version 3.3 relied on an error trapping code and failed to work with MAX 3 correctly. "

    "VertexPlacer 3 is now also a vertex Quantiser (similar to Lightwave Modellers 'Quantise'). It allows you to place a selection of vertices at a specific place on a plane - snap to the nearest given spacing - or snap to the nearest grid point. Vertexplacer works on the vertices of Meshes - Polygons and splines.

    A tool for 'planting' objects over the surface of other objects - with interactive control of the scale and rotation of each object planted.

    This is useful for creating trees with billboarding leaves for instance for previewing real-time trees inside 3ds max.

    Convert Selection To Edge Border

    This is for people who do lots of Edge Extrude - just use a lasso selection or paint selection (or whatever u like) to select some stuff around the border. Run the script. and wollaahh it has selected your outer border from the selection you did.
