Relink Bitmaps

Relink Bitmaps is a script to easily relink all missing files (Bitmaps, VRayMeshes, Mental Ray Proxies, VRayHDRI, IES, etc) when they change directories or when you move computers, check out the short video tutorial below for more detailed information.

Unlike some other scripts of its kind, this is free!  There is a small donation link within the script if you choose to donate, I will remove the nag.  It is a simple licensing system, that does not force you to transfer network cards or be connected to the internet and will work with all versions of Max that are supported by the script.  If you choose to donate I'll be more than happy to license multiple computers as well.

Quick Selection

Quick Selection is a handy utility that provides several methods for selecting and managing objects within the scene, including the following:

  • Selection by Category
  • Selection by Stored Objects
  • Selection by Selection Sets (independent of any Max file)
  • Selection by Pathname literals (stored in a text file)

A free and easy utility to find and replace missing or all bitmaps and other dependencies like Xrefs, proxies, ies.

You may also find and replace their searchpaths in case you've moved them.

Works also with FstormBitmap, Vray and Fstorm proxies, ies in both Fstorm and Vray lights.

Strip Paths from Bitmaps

Removes current paths from all bitmaps in the scene. Primarily for getting rid of irrelevant paths on files recieved from users on other systems.

This functions in a similar way to stripping paths manually in asset tracking, but when doing that I've found that it can lag a lot and sometimes fail to strip some of the paths until you do it multiple times.

Bad paths can cause lag when Max tries to search for the missing textures, especially when they're pointing to a nonexistent network location.

This simple script was created in 3ds max 2013.

I do hope it will work with previous versions... 

What it simply does is to map out the trajectory of an animated object... 

USAGE:

Run the script -> Select the Moving Object & Click on "Track Selected"...

Simple Path relinker application for maps, ies, hdri corona proxy and vrayproxy objects. Features are: path text replacing and copy functions. The two text fields below each section are for "original" and for "future" paths. $ stand for string. Use it to copy a map path of a selected map to the desired text field.
