Tronotools Quick Link Lock Info

A small tool I created to more quickly handle link locks. You can globally lock or unlock everything with one button. Same with just movement, rotate or scale separately. Supports multiple objects and behaves just like the normal 3dsMax Hierarchy->Link Info System.

v1.1 - Fixed a bug when no objects were selected.

Scale constraint

I think I know what you mean. Like a scale constraint, so it always stays a cube?
I am not quite sure how to simplify that more than what Max already can do? I can create a tool that lets you enter the size of a cube, and it puts that into the X,Y and Z size - or a whole new box primitive. But it would just work while creating the box. If it is any other kind of primitive, or converted to Edit Poly, it wouldn't work anymore. Sounds like the scale tool might be just as good in many cases.

But let me know if I am just misunderstanding you! I am up for creating other helpful and flexible tools.

Hey

True! single click instead of 9!

Can you also think of making a standard objects creation scale lock system?
Its there by pressing Ctrl ( example press Ctrl & draw box it becomes cube )but whn I want some difference in X,Y,Z sizes and still one change should propogate to others respectively.

Hope you can do this ! ! !
Cheers

Thanks!

Thanks! Yeah, I know, right? :)
Usually I want to lock or just unlock everything. Handy to have it all in one button instead of 9 clicks.
