how it works

Script deletes vertex based on the angle threshold

HOWTO:

Align Spline

3 votes

"Move the selected vertices to follow a spline.

  • Snap on shape : just snap each vertex to the closest position on the shape
  • Regular : equally repartition of the vertex on the shape
  • Move on sel center : the shape is moved to the center of the selection
  • This script works with closed or open shapes.
This script works with polys and meshes"

    KnotstoBezierViaSmooth

Sets selected vertices in a spline to smooth and then bezier - something I often do in two steps by hand. Only works on base level editable splines or lines.

    Points to Surface

    5 votes

This script transforms data retrieved from 3D scanner (as *.pts file) into set of splines. They are used to build a NURBS U Loft surface.

    FiberMesh to Splines

    3 votes

FiberMesh to Splines will convert the exported FiberMesh polygons from ZBrush to splines. The splines can be used to create and render 3DS Max hair either with 3DS Max default hair modifier or using a hair plugin that has a recomb from splines option.

    Select Similar Spline

    1 vote

this script works like select similar faces in polyboost or gmt, but with splines. so feel free to test it an post some suggestions :)

    it have two modes:
by segments - selects by spline segments and their lengths (most precise)
by length - selects by overal length of the spline (useful in some cases)

    new in v2.1
by type - selects by knot type (bezier, corner, etc)

    rdg::spline::offsetSpline

    9 votes

This macroscript lets you select a spline and generate one or more splines with a specified offset. Unlike the 3DS MAX offset function in 'Editable Spline' - this offset spline detached from the original spline.

Check the 'consecutive' checkbox to keep the result selected.
