It's Christmas time! Well, almost. Anyway, this one is really simple and will be perfect as a starting point for anyone who wants to learn how to build a custom mesh primitive. Enjoy.

Arrow spline primitive, useful as a control object in rigging. Works only in 3ds max 2016 SP2 and higher.

VA CloneOnCurve

An extended version of the (AClone on curve) modifier that ships with 3ds max, this one adds the ability to read multiple curves per shape and distribute the clones based on the size of the mesh.

Update 1.1:

The new update brings the ability to control the number of clones incrementally, and if you edited the first point in your shape you can control were the clones start to appear of finish.

Pulley Belt

Technically you can probably call it a rounded isosceles trapezoid but it will be more useful as a base for path of bicycle chains or pulley belts. When both radii are the same and spline set to renderable, it could also be used as a simple chain link.

MCG Explode Elements

This MCG explodes the elements of your objects apart...no it's not dynamic explosions, just simply moving them away...

MCG Gear Rotation

This MCG allows you to create gear rotation based on a Master object that has Euler RotationController. Note: this is found in the Motion Panel.

Ver 1.01: changed Axis spinners to radio buttons X, Y, Z. Pls note: if you prefer to use this version, your current gears will have their Axis off by 1, ie. you'll have to reassign them to Z most likely.

Convert to MultiScatter

This is only rough idea how to convert objects to MultiScatter

First it creates new distribution object and then MultiScatter distributes objects on it.
It keeps transform (position, scale and rotation) of objects

Helical Cylinder

Example usage would be spiral ductwork, screw threads, flexible metal tubes, circular ramps etc. No smoothing groups are assigned, for smooth look either use Smooth modifier or add points to the spline profile.
