Mini ZB

6 votes

This tool started out simply as a way to manipulate high density meshes within Max.

As you know Max hates high density meshes...it has horrible response time and you can't do anything to them. MiniZB allows you to somewhat overcome this by working with sections of a large mesh at a time.

Takes any selected objects and instances and mirrors them across the x axis in one button press.

AlignViewToFace Right-Click Menu

Implements an additional RightClick Menu option when a single Object is selected. It lets you align an Isometric User View to an object's face. Please read the notes in the source. Thanks to Richard Green (Artbot) and E.K. Anna Hennequet for the idea.

Something like greeble (add tine things to on your mesh surface) but a bit different

Smoother

"The idea behind that was - easily applying meshsmooth to many different objects and dis/enabling then at once for faster work flow.Makes only sense if there are bigger scenes."

EditableMesh

Just a few tweaks to the origional. I simplified things a little. For example - I made the collapse command - one command. The script is smart enough to figure out what you want collapsed by what mode you are in. I also made it so that if a tool isn't available because of what mode you are in - it stays invisible. I also added Ignore Backfacing.

Wrapper

"Wraps or drapes one mesh (Source) to another (Target). This is just a means of projection that retains the mesh body. Source Mesh vertex heights above Z=0 are transformed to an offset distance from the Target Mesh. Can choose to align the source to the target mesh curvature or have a straight projection.
Formerly known as MeshDrape"

Slicer

"This script is useful to cut a polygon face several times. The user can enter the distance between them - the axis (local coordinate) that the slice plane will move and how many times this will happen.
You should enable slice plane mode in a editable poly for this script work. It only works in selected faces."

MeshInfo

Displays various useful details about the mesh or poly object being edited - right in the viewport.

In subobject mode (EMesh/EPoly) - displays the total and selected polys (EPoly only) - faces - verts - and edges. When not in subobject mode - displays the scene and selected objects face count. Comes with a MacroScript to toggle the display.
