This is a version of the Key Manager script by Randy Kreitzman that I modified to work with TCB controllers instead of just Beziers. It allows you to change the tangent type - ease in/out and continuity for a bunch of selected Track View keys all at once. You can also shift the selection now - and affect prev/next keys as well. Works in MAX r2.5 - r3 and r4.

Quickly makes an ortho camera from one of three vantage points. Good if you say want to quickly setup a camera aligned to an orthoview - or good if you want to render some elements flat.

Helps you to start modelling a head without having to spend too much time in setting up the base mesh. What this tool do is it creates two instanced or referenced Editable Poly Halves. The original script was written by Adrian Hartney whose nick at maxforums.org is Kaos.

Camera Manager

"A small camera manager. Allows you to select a camera from a list - make the active viewport display that camera - also displays a small preview of that camera.

materialSelected

This script will bring up the material editor - with ALL selected objects material placed in it for you. Just select your objects - and run. The material defaults to gray defaults first. If no objects are selected then the material editor is reset to defaults.

Layer Bar

"Layer Bar extends 3dsmax 5's layer system and simplifying its ui at the same time. Give this tool a try if you dont like the dropwdown interface. Features:

  • Dockable screen width bar to effectively manage scene object without consuming screen space.
  • One click operation to hide/unhide - lock/unlock - as well as multiple layer hiding/locking.

    This script will create a point at the center of a selection of verts. If only one vert is selected then the point will be created at that vertex.

    This maxscript allows you to copy a selected vertex into a clipboard and later paste. There are two versions of the maxscript - simple and advanced. Simple let's you copy and paste a single vertex's x -y - and z coordinates. The Advanced version let's you specify which dimension to paste (x -y - or z) and also can paste a single dimension value into several selected vertices.

    * Moves selected or all vertices of one or more objects to nearby vertices or grid points
    * You can snap multiple selected objects with one click
    * Only snaps to and from Editable Poly or Editable Mesh objects, other types are disregarded
    * You can filter out hidden, frozen or currently selected objects to gain snap speed on larger scenes
    * Use the "selected" flag to keep objects apart when snapping multiple ojects
    * Added axis constraints
    * Lower seek distance speeds up large snap selections in large scenes
