AutoFloor UVs is a 3ds Max script created to easily map surfaces made up of juxtaposed elements, such as tiles or parquet.

Description:

It offers a planar mapping that eliminates visible repetitions by editing the elements UVW map coordinates. It's the perfect tool when you're working with a single seamless texture of wood or marble and you need to map a bathroom wall or a big hall full of tiles.

Placer

Placer is a 3ds max script to help you to place objects on a suraface. In this Script you can pic the ground model ( the geometry on that you will transport the chosen objects ), select to turn on, or off the record the animation of your objects and Start the placement process.

OutFiler file browser

The OutFiler is a simple but powerful file browser inside 3dsmax that completely replaces standard save/load/save selected/merge/import/export dialogs. I believe folder tree much more comfortable and transparent.

The OutFilers provides the ability to quickly find the necessary folders, save the history of movements along them with back/next buttons and recent list and the favorite paths for quick access to working scenes.

  • Octane render is still impossible for me to support at the moment, they handled filenames strangely.  Contact them if you want support added, my forum name on their forums is colinsenner.

  • Browse buttons are Read-only share friendly
  • Attempted to support Octane Render, but the way they are exposing their custom map types like Image_Texture are not in line with any other plugin I’ve seen, if you want Octane support, it’d be best to contact them on their forums or email directly to help me resolve the issue, they were unhelpful when I attempted to contact them to resolve this.  My forum name on Octane forums is colinsenner.

2.07 Changelog:

  • Point Cache files are now supported
  • Fixed ‘directory not recognized: $’ error
  • Long overdue change to the way missing bitmaps are displayed, they are now displayed filename first, as requested by 100s of you.  Sorry this took so long.

Relink Bitmaps is a script to easily relink all missing files (Bitmaps, VRayMeshes, Mental Ray Proxies, VRayHDRI, IES, etc) when they change directories or when you move computers, check out the short video tutorial below for more detailed information.

Unlike some other scripts of its kind, this is free!  There is a small donation link within the script if you choose to donate, I will remove the nag.  It is a simple licensing system, that does not force you to transfer network cards or be connected to the internet and will work with all versions of Max that are supported by the script.  If you choose to donate I'll be more than happy to license multiple computers as well.

rBPasteDWG – Copy Paste from AutoCAD to 3dsMax

Small tools to copy AutoCAD clipboard directly into 3dsMax.

Select objects in AutoCAD, control+C, click Paste DWG in max and you’re done.
This project is at beta stage, so probably still has some bug.
Please use with caution and always save your file first.

This tool wont work if your AutoCAD version is higher than your 3dsMax version.

Options inside this tool could be use on selected objects. See video for detailed instruction.

The Script has 5 Modes (Move, Rotate, Scale, Pivot, Random) . and 3 Type of Auto Switching to Switch Between Them (to not Get Confussed) .

The 3 Auto Modes is (Auto T, Auto D, and The MacroScript (Universal Transform - Auto Switch)) .

- it has 3 Options :

1- By Spinners or (Type-in) .

2- By Object (Picking another Object from the Scene) .

rBCopyPastev0.1 Another tool for copying/pasting objects from one scene to another in 3dsMax.

There are many tools with similar functionality. This version add flexible path+filename just in case user want to save some materials to be used later.

 

Default path for this tool is (getdir #temp) + "\\"+ "pasteFile" which is translated to <C:\Users\<yourUsername>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2013 - 64bit\ENU\temp\pasteFile>.

Doom Spline Resizer - draw line with precise lenght

This simple script will let you draw precise lines quickly almost as a CAD software!
It will Set the pivot to the first vertex of a shape object and align it to the first segment. A window will show up allowing to set the Lengh of a spline scaling from the first vertex.

You can find the mcr script in the Category:"# Scripts"
The .ms script will just load on RUN

USAGE:
For best use associate the script to a Key button (es. D that is free by default)
You can add a toolbar button found in "# Scripts" category
Use the key or press the toolbar button to start drawing a line
