Slice Modifier Tools

This free script will add several new functions to the Slice Modifier. Among the key features are a Quick Slice functionality that will allow you to progressively Slice and Cap objects with a method like the Quick Slice function in the Graphite Toolbar. During the chaining, the sliced object is capped. This is helpful for several kinds of tasks like slicing convex brush geometry for BSP games (like the Source Engine).

Reference Rotation

This script works exectly as autocad rotate (and 3d rotate) command.
It rotetes selected objects based on 3 points.

Points are picked up in that order:
1. pivot point
2. reference point
3. target point

step 1) set up the suffixes and name your meshes

supports custom tags such as _LP or _lowpoly
_HP and _highpoly

please make sure all objects are named correctly
floaters can be attached as a child to their highpoly parent and they will auto move along with the parent during the explode

step 2) click create projection

Mega Aligner 3000XT

This script can be used for aligning an object to another through the timeline, or a given time range. You can select the tracks what you want to be aligned (pos/rot/scale) and the interval where you want the script to put keyframes.

It is very usable if you don't want to use the built-in constrains for example when a character has to grab something (which is in my oppinion is a weak point of 3ds max).

It should work on earlier versions too, but I couldn't test it.

  • You are rendering with Backburner™, V-ray™ or Corona™
  • If it is hard to see and manage which spawners are running on which nodes, and you are using remote desktop for it

Flange

Flange scripted primitive. Created with TurboSmooth in mind, so it's all-quad and has an Outline parameter to tighten the edge loops. The flange neck is optional, reducing its thickness to zero effectively gets rid of it.
