3dsMax Ini Backup

As you know max 2014 has a bug about resetting to default configuration when max crash, it's becomes pain in the ass when you open max after crash your setting back to default, toolbar become big, caddy become active again , etc... This script do backup and restore max ini setting, so you can go back to previous setting that you already backup. You can specify directory where to save the ini file.

Read data from csv txt

Just simple script / code to read data from csv files exported from Excel and then create objects - (here: spheres)

How CSV should look:
Every planet in single line. Every value separated with "|" character.

for eg: (name|radius|x|y|z|sphere segments)

Sun|20|0|0|0|12
Earth|2|100|100|0|12

And so on.

If you need apply specific colors then add extra 3 numbers controlling rgb (egz |0|10|200)

Before run change file location in code or copy "SolarSystem.txt" file to C:\

PreRenderCheck Script for V-Ray and 3ds Max

Here’s a simple little pre-render script, that checks and warns you about those things you may have overlooked for whatever reason. The first thing it does is check if you are rendering a camera view, and if you are not, it asks you which camera view to render.

Sometimes you are doing GI precalculations or by accident you tick “Don’t render final image”. The script will check for that and ask if you want to switch it off or not.

This is my first script in 3D Max. I wrote it for my own purpose to speed up modelling of the most boring things in architectural visualisations. Windows and doors. This script helps to make simple windows and doors with divisions of your own need. Just place a box as a symbol of a door or a window and imagine that the segments of this box are the divisions of your window or door.

Orb Tool

This plugin creates a new Spline primitive called "Orb". It can be used to quickly create orb controls for use in rigging, for example.

To use, either evaluate the script or place it in the startup folder to make it load on start.

#CAUTION# - 12/01/2015

I just noticed that when you create the Orb, the script creates a 0-size rectangle on the origin, which gives you dead vertices when it collapses the object. Will update ASAP.
