PowerCoreTools: 3ds Max's CPU management tool

8 votes

PowerCoreTools:

Just released version 1.2 of my PowerCoreTools CPU managment script for 3ds Max

A tool to control CPU usage while 3ds Max is rendering. Automatically sets process priority and affinity ( the number of  CPU cores the render process uses) at render start. Restores the initial settings when the rendering is done. Can be configured to run in a complete transparent  No-UI mode, which is launched right after 3ds Max has started.
This keeps your workstation responsive for other tasks while rendering. A second 3ds Max session stays responsive and can be used to continue work on different tasks.

A look at the following screenshot will probably tell more than thousand words:

SORRY, BUT THIS SCRIPT IS CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE.

This is a 3dsMax manager tool, preferably for Vray users, very useful for editing architectural models created with other software (eg. ArchiCAD) and fast scene setup. Very useful tools for Selection, Rendering, Incremental Rendering, Copy/Paste objects from other scenes, Material Replacer, Animation with Moving Objects, Exporting/Importing Vray Proxy with material and so on...

Quick Vray Camera for 3dsMax2016 and Vray 3.xx

Very simply script which allows the creation of  "hidden" Vray Physical Camera in 3dsMax2016 with Vray 3.xx

qvc

In the last release of Vray 3.2 for 3dsMax, the Vray Camera does not appear; VRay uses the physical camera of 3dsmax. If you write in maxscript: " vrayCreateVRayPhysicalCamera() " we can create the "hidden" Vray physical camera.

Quick Vray Camera, facilitates the work for us.

3 new versions and reduced prices: MLI Light 2.0, MLI 2.0, MLI Pro 2.0

With the Material Layer Interface (MLI) you can create Material Layers and passes in 3D Studio Max and it’s easy to handle them!

Just create the layers and pick the objects. Assign materials to the objects and feel free to use different renderer or render settings for every single layer.
