A few words about gizmoControl

I recently released a new script called 'gizmoControl'.

While I think the script can be very useful, the names used and my explanations might be suboptimal and therefore, I'll try to better explain what use this script can be.

So what does the script do?

Open Clean Material Editor Zorb

Very simple little script. Put this next to your "open material editor" button and you can now open a pre cleaned material editor. Saves you waiting for big maps to load if you have some chunky materials in your editor.

Matrix-weighted Exposimeter

I should thank Vlado (Chaosgroup, VRay programmer) for his contribution of ideas and ways to use the VRay tools, for this one.

Shockwave 3D Batch Export

This script batch exports Shockwave 3D Files

Lightgen Converter

This script imports a txt file which was generated by Lightgen for Hdrshop. The difference to normal Skydome scripts is that the lights are very accurate since they were generated from an hdr image. Features include the ability to define the brightness - saturation and the samplerange of the shadowmaps.

Netrender Low Priority

When network rendering - 3DSMax defaults to 'normal' priority unless you set it otherwise. This script tells max to run in low priority (so that the system doesn't completely lockup) but ONLY when network rendering. If Max is launched normally by a user - it wont be affected.

A 3ds max 4 version of the R3 script (which used to be a RCmenu).
Select a single geometry object, click button, pick a normal on the surface of the object by clicking and holding the mouse, release mouse to set view. NOTE: Does not work as Action Item for QuadMenus yet. (Bug in MouseTrack?)
