This script will take all selected objects and make them grey by default.

I get fed up with going into the colour picker to turn objects grey as I work through a blockout. I made this so that I could do it with a single click.

The script will work as a button in the toolbar once setup.

Installation:

This script takes all selected objects and makes their wireframe and base colour grey if no materials are applied.

To add it to your Max, drag the .ms file into the 3Dsmax viewport.

Light Assistant helps with aligning reflections and adjusting the parameters of V-Ray lights.

Main features:

  1. Interactively ALIGN lights reflection directly on the geometry. Hold shift for “Rim Light Mode”.
  2. Interactively change light distance, size and rotation in ADJUST mode.
  3. Quickly control V-Ray Light properties with “Light Lister” like interface.
  4. Adjust light intensity using Exposure Value (EV).
  5. Align and Adjust modes work well with some non V-Ray lights.
  6. 10 Softbox presets in material library included.

PBR Material Importer

A script i made during production that requiring importing a lot of PBR map into Vray.
This script require at least 4 map to run: Diffuse,reflection(specular),glossiness and normal.
It will create a Vray material with setting to look indentical to Quixel 3DO or substance viewport.
If your map have Mixed Dielectric and Metal , you will need to export Metalness Map.

This tool copy and paste objects between many 3ds max windows. You can add a shortcut like ctr+c ctrl+v.

Brought to mind this script VrayMatLib (V-ray material library)

Now works in all versions of 3ds max.

Checked for serviceability in version 2014, 2016, 2017.

There are instructions in written and video instruction.

Displacement Roof Surfaces is a Free MaxScript that will take your existing roof geometry and properly apply UV Mapping coordinates to each roof plane and then apply convincing materials and displacement modifiers to the geometry.

TurboReduce will recreate the subdividion levels of an already subdivided mesh.
