Outliner

Version:
2.1.5
Date Updated:
09/13/2012

The Outliner 2.0 is a fast and easy to use scene management tool. It has a wide range of features, including selecting, hiding, freezing, linking and grouping objects in the "Hierarchy Mode". In the "Layer Mode" you can organize your scene by dragging&dropping objects from one layer to the other. What's more, the Outliner offers support for nested layers, to manage scenes more efficiently. The interface is nimble enough to keep it open constantly.

Additional Info:

Compared to the previous version (1.6.1), there are many improvements. Most notable among them are: hugely increased performance, improved stability, nested layer support and many small tweaks to improve the ease of use. For a list of all changes, click here

Version Requirement:
3ds Max 2010
Other Software Required:
.NET 3.5 Framework

Strange, apparently

Strange, apparently extracting the script files from the mzp is failing. I can send you a new version of the installer which does the extraction in a slightly different way. You could try and see if that works for you. I'll just need your mail address so I can send it :)

Thx for rush replay

i have admin rights, and when i drop installer into max error window poops up saying "copying new files failed. this could be caused by high security settings. please see the maxscript listener for details"
and in maxscript listener i get this lines
Outliner installer exception:
copyScriptFiles
-- Runtime error: dotNet runtime exception: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\minks\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2011 - 64bit\enu\temp\outliner\script'.

That is odd. Are you sure you have administrator rights when trying to install it? Also, after you've dropped the mzp into 3dsmax, can you find that folder, or does it really not exist?
Out of curiosity, did you get an 'ugly' maxscript exception, or a message from the installer itself?
