I have always been not happy with the endless movement through Windows folders to save and load scenes and models. It really takes 20-30% of the working time. Neither Windows nor 3dsmax can provide recent paths and easy folder navigation. I'm tired of this nonsense.
And then I wrote the OutFiler.

Script that has the ability to quickly find the necessary folders, save the history of movements along them with back/next buttons and recent list and the favorite paths for quick access to working scenes.

Isolation Levels

Create nested isolations, go back and forth between them. Hope it helps.

 The Outliner 2.0 is a fast and easy to use scene management tool. It has a wide range of features, including selecting, hiding, freezing, linking and grouping objects in the "Hierarchy Mode". In the "Layer Mode" you can organize your scene by dragging&dropping objects from one layer to the other. The 3dsmax UI only allows you to set material effects ID up to 16 channels. The VRayMtl allows you to go beyond this using the effects ID override but other types of materials don't have any UI to adjust this. This tool using a backdoor into 3dsmax to set the effects ID beyond the 16 limit imposed by the UI.

This means you can create masks for every material in your scene. Using this tool you can either assign effects IDs by hand or just press to automatically create them and their mask render elements.

Delete UnRemovable Layer

It may happen to you that you wanna remove an empty layer that you created before but delete option is grayed out in layer-manager and you no longer able to remove that layer. just remember that 3Ds Max never let you delete a layer while it contain some nodes nor default layer called “0”. but in some rare situations even an empty layer that you created and then you have done with it and want to delete it, but 3Ds Max not let you do that. It’s happen because of some unclassified nodes that came with your imported models from other programs, so you can’t see them in viewport and not in layer manager too. The only way to get rid of them is to select that Nodes from MaxScript and delete them manually so layer’s delete option will back again.

This is simple script for renaming and managing objects on the go.

To install script Just
1. Unzip "Quick Manager v1.0.rar"
2. Keep "MyLibrary.mat" to that folder if you are going to keep that folder.
If you are going to delete that folder, then put "MyLibrary.mat" to following location - "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2017\materiallibraries"
1. run "Quick_Manager_1.0.ms" from MAXScipt-Run Script.
2. Then go to Customize-Customize User Interface.
3. Find "Quick_Manager" Under "Sharad Tools"
4. Assign Shortcut for it.
