Save & Restore Views

A simple script that is pretty similar to max's own "Save active perspective view" and "Restore active perspective view" functionality just that there are 5 slots with preview images. Un-comment the first 2 lines to install it as a macroscript. Click the little lock symbol to save a view, click the image button to restore it. 

Reference Rotation

This script works exectly as autocad rotate (and 3d rotate) command.
It rotetes selected objects based on 3 points.

Points are picked up in that order:
1. pivot point
2. reference point
3. target point

Collect Asset

This script collects textures and other files used in the scene in one folder. Check for the same file names.

Viewport Align

Rotates your top view to your selection. Go to top view, select 1 edge or 2 verts, run the script (and switch to coordinate system "screen" if you like). Click once to align horizontal, click again to align vertical. Good for architectural modeling with non-orthogonal walls.

 

AlignViewToFace

Aligns the perspective view to the face that is under the mouse while keeping the distance to the selected object (the distance will pretty much the same as between the view and the face to align to). It does not matter if the object has modifiers applied and the view will not be distorted into some strange rotation but kept aligned to the world axis.

step 1) set up the suffixes and name your meshes

supports custom tags such as _LP or _lowpoly
_HP and _highpoly

please make sure all objects are named correctly
floaters can be attached as a child to their highpoly parent and they will auto move along with the parent during the explode

step 2) click create projection
