The visual maxscript editor has issues... doesn't make nice code and is generally useless.  So instead I made this...

Run the mcr file and find it in your customise user interface windows under 'DW Tools'

Version 1_0 - Release
Version 1_1 - Bug fixed which could allow nested groups, which maxscript doesn't like and would therefore crash.
Version 1_2 - Released unencrypted so that it works in 3dsmax 2017 and well... because who doesn't like to learn (judge) from other people's code....

A utility for placing objects at the right height on complicate grounds.
Especially usefull when placing quickly great numbers of peoples, plants and cars on a big area with streets,parks and trottoirs at different heights.
Simply place them on a plan view and then run this utility.

Quite similar to the Drop script for Sketchup, but with some more control.

IA_Utilities_Wire-consists of 4 maps that can be plugged into any shader network, for wiring numeric, boolean, and RGB color values.IA_Utilities_Instance-consists of 4 maps that also can be plugged into any shader network, for containing multiple instanced texture-maps. Each map has user labels within it, to label the use of each instance or wire.

This script easily gets the material(s) and loads them into the material editor.

With multiple objects selected it will load them all into the editor.

I suggest keybinding this to CTRL-SHIFT-G for speeding up your workflow instead of using a toolbar icon!
