Thanks a lot for this helpful script

Just one question plese: Is it possible to make function for measuring distance between two custom points "iterative" (like in default measure tool case). I mean it would be much faster if we wouldn't need to click on the button each time when we measure something, allowing us to measure distances between several pair of points in a row.

Thanks Miauu

this is possible, but there

this is possible, but there is only one problem - for how long to stay the text in the viewport
=================================================
could it be toggle? first run - display, second run - hide (this is only possible if script will update length or area automatically)

[quote]thanks. working! but

 thanks. working! but not with Edit Poly. is it possible to fix? i have also a couple more suggestions:  1 - when two or more segments or polygons are selected - overall length or area is displayed in top-left of the viewport. (if Display in Viewport is enabled)

Already added to the script. But:

 2 - would be just great for simple macroscript which will just Show Length or Area (depends spline/poly or segment/polygon is selected) with last script settings and display in viewport

this is possible, but there is only one problem - for how long to stay the text in the viewport. With actual script the text disapear when you press the "Clear VP" button or when you close the rollout. If you have a macro that display text you have to have a macro that clear the viewport or the text must be displayed for some time - 3,5,10 sec. :)
