V-RayMax Converter PRO is the best tool for convert 3d scene (materials, maps, lights, cameras, proxies, modifiers, helpers, render elements, etc.) from various render engines to V-Ray and from V-Ray to Corona Render, and also for converting V-Ray and Corona materials/maps to Standard materials/maps.

V-RayMax Converter PRO converts the source materials with maximum possible preservation of the basic material properties, such as diffuse, specular, opacity, glossiness, roughness, bump, displacement, selfillumination (emission), translucency, reflection, refraction, although it is necessary to understand that certain materials may need adjustments once the conversion process is complete. Also, all the textures that are used for the above parameters were saved. As for the special procedural maps, they are converted only if there is an analogue. Otherwise, procedural maps are baked into textures or removed if the resulting materials can be used without them.

worth every cent

I'm not really into writing reviews, but V-RayMtl Converter deserves an exception.

This plugin is worth every cent, a huge time saver in dealing with render and material settings and on top their support is AAA
As example, this script configured my max scene with over 1600 materials ACESCG ready in less then 3 minutes. I cant even imagine how long it would take us to do this manually
So, if you are a max user and want to save some time on your boring repeating material conversions, then this plugin is something you should really consider.

Yes, we totally agree with you.
We added this option at the request of one of our users, although we warned him that making reflections pure white is a bad idea. Therefore, we made this option optional so that you can only use it as you wish.
PS: Perhaps in a future update we will add to this option the ability to specify the white color from 200 to 255

Pure White?!?!?

Changing the reflection color to pure white (255,255,255) is never a good idea.

When using an HDRI that has a strong sun in it, you will get a lot of overbright pixels. Then you have to make sure that glossiness is below .7, but that still could not help and it will make renders slower and/or grainier. Best is to chose a custom reflection color or to set it to light grey (205,205,205).

Examples of this you can find in some Maxtree plants that have reflection set to (255,255,255) and glossiness to 1....a real nightmare.
